The giants get the attention, but some of the most striking things I’ve photographed underwater are fish. A striped marlin lighting up electric blue as it hunts in Magdalena Bay. Mahi mahi tearing through a bait ball at full speed. A damselfish the size of your palm defending its patch of Tongan reef like it owns the ocean. This collection is the color and the speed of the sea: dazzling hunters in open water, jewel-bright reef fish, and the chaos of a bait ball caught in a single frame. These pieces bring movement and saturated color to a wall, and they work especially well on acrylic, where the blues and golds really come alive.
