A Journey through the Wild Sea

Embark on an Unforgettable Adventure in the Sea of Cortez

Welcome to the Mobula Ray Ocean Safari, an extraordinary journey in the Sea of Cortez, once hailed by Jacques Cousteau as “The Aquarium of the World.” This marine paradise, teeming with diverse species and framed by stunning scenery both above and below the water, offers an unparalleled experience for wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.

Witness the Spectacular Migration of Mobula Rays

During the balmy summer months, the Sea of Cortez becomes the stage for one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles: the migration of mobula rays. These graceful creatures, spanning up to 3.6 feet, gather in hundreds or even thousands, creating breathtaking scenes for free divers and snorkelers. Their acrobatic leaps and social behavior provide a unique underwater ballet, set against the backdrop of the rich, biodiverse waters stretching all the way from the Gulf of California to Peru.

While the mobula rays are the stars of the show, the Sea of Cortez is also home to a plethora of cetaceans. The waters here are frequented by orca pods, offering a thrilling bonus to our safari adventurers. Although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, our expeditions are timed to increase the chances of encountering these majestic marine inhabitants.
